ABOUT THE ASH MOSS VALE BRANCH
The Moss Vale Branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society is located in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Our branch is a relatively small branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society, comprising of approximately 170 members, and is one of the newest branches. It was established to filful the local needs of a growing interest in the Australian Stock Horse in the Southern distrists of NSW.
The Moss Vale branch provides its members with a diverse range of Stock Horse activities, events and educational opportunties throughout the year, including:
An Annual 2 day show - full program ASH Branch Show & Open Challenge in Spring;
Information days - held monthly in winter;
2 day adult ASHS clinic in Spring - horsemanship & cattle in spring instructed by a National Accredited Coach;
4 day Youth ASHS camp in the Summer school holidays instructed by a National Accredited Coach;
An annual Hi-Point Score Competition;
The executive Committee meets monthly;
Newsletter - which provides information monthly to members;
Hosted an Accredited Judges Workshop;
Hosts a Meet & Greet BBQ, a Christmas Party BBQ & an Awards night dinner;
Provided assistance by way of equipment/steel panels & coaching to Bundanoon, Berrima & Moss Vale Pony Clubs.
We have a very close association with other local community organisations such as the Moss Vale, Berrima District & Bundanoon Pony Clubs, also the Southern Highland Carriage Club. We share facilities, grounds, yards, volunteers and last year we donated $2,000 towards the construction of the improvements to the buildings.
We are a very active bunch of enthusiasts and are proud of our multiply achievements. We look forward to a bright future as part of the Australian Stock Horse Society.
